Hey there, fellow food lover!
Today, we’re excited to share an utterly delectable creation we’ve perfected– bacon and cheese buns.
It’s a foolproof “easy appetizer” that’s irresistible!
You’ll find these soft and cheesy, bacon bombs are simply scrumptious, certainly no one can eat just one.

Your taste buds are in for a treat!
Do Bacon and Cheese Bombs Need to Be Refrigerated?
The question of whether bacon and cheese bombs or buns need to be refrigerated is common.
While the ingredients like bacon and cheese delight your taste buds, the answer hinges on a couple of factors.
If these tasty bombs are to be consumed shortly after baking, there’s no need for immediate refrigeration – the flavors are best enjoyed hot and fresh.
However, if you find yourself with leftovers, it’s wise to refrigerate them within two hours of baking to maintain their flavor and prevent any unwanted bacterial growth.
So, the golden rule here is to eat when warm and enjoy the cheesy goodness and refrigerate after two hours.
Can I Freeze Bacon and Cheese Buns
Bacon cheese buns can easily be frozen in an airtight container.
You’ll want to make sure to remove as much air as possible to avoid freezer burn.
I prefer to store any leftovers in a ziplock bag and squeeze out as much air as possible.
You can reheat them in the oven at 350° for about 10 minutes, just until they’re warm and the cheese melts.
Or for a quick snack, pop in the microwave for about 15-30 seconds.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe?

Prepare the Bacon and Cheese Filling
First soften your cream cheese and place in a bowl, add crumbled bacon and stir until well combined.
How to Make the Bacon Cheese Bombs
Let’s get started making the most enticing bacon cheese bombs.
First if you’re using frozen roll dough you’ll need to defrost it according to the instructions on the package.
I like to place my frozen dough on a greased baking sheet, spray the frozen dough with cooking spray, cover with plastic wrap and let it thaw on the counter.
It usually takes about two hours, depending on how warm my kitchen is.
You can also do the speed method, by preheating your oven to 200°.
Then turn off the oven and place a bowl of hot water on the bottom oven rack and then place the baking sheet with frozen roll dough on the top rack in your oven.
The rolls will thaw in about an 30-45 minutes and raise slightly.
Once your dough is thawed, cut each roll in half with kitchen shears.
Shape the 1/2 of roll into a ball.
Make an indentation in the center of the rolled dough with your thumb.
Then place about 1/2 teaspoon of the bacon cheese filling in the center of the bun.
Pinch the dough closed so that the filling is completely encased in the roll dough.
Roll into a ball shape and place on a greased or parchment covered baking pan.

Buttery Garlic and Cheese Topping
While you can bake and serve the bacon cheese bombs without the buttery garlic topping, the topping is what really takes these bacon cheese buns to a new level.
For the topping melt the butter in the microwave for about 30-40 seconds, stir in the real mayonnaise, garlic powder and parsley
Do not use Miracle Whip in place of the mayonnaise, it will be too sweet.
For this topping use real mayonnaise.
The parsley can be dried or freshly chopped, however I think fresh herbs add more flavor.
Brush the topping onto the rolled bacon cheese bombs and then top generously with fresh grated parmesan cheese.
Bake
Preheat your oven to 375° and bake for 12-15 minutes, until lightly golden brown.
Cool slightly before serving.
They are definitely best served hot so you can enjoy the gooey cheese.
