Are you looking for a fun Countdown to Christmas? We have a quick and easy Christmas Service Advent Calendar that can be made in 30 minutes! We know this time of the year is hectic and demanding of your time, but this project is is so simple you can have it done in no time at all.
Welcome to another beautiful day! We’re excited to have you here! We’ve had some exciting things in the works but I have a small confession to make!
I’m normally one who has to take the time to enjoy each of the Holidays without skipping one to get to another. By this I mean, when it’s the Halloween season we decorate and celebrate more or less the whole month.
During November we decorate for Thanksgiving, and try to be a little more grateful for all we have each day. Christmas decor doesn’t make its grand debut until at least the day after Thanksgiving.
Well, this year has been a bit different. Since we’re participating in the Christmas Home Tour blog hop this week we’ve had Christmas decor up and photographed ready to share weeks ago. It’s been a bit different for sure, but I do love having the Christmas decor up! This may be the most fun time to decorate all year long!
First off I have to share the cutest thing ever! My 5 year old has recently started showing an interest in drawing, and of course practicing his writing. He came home from school today with this.
MIY MOM DUS DEIY
Translation: “My Mom does DIY”
And he knows I’m not afraid to use color! 😂 That’s all, I just had to share that!
So, since we are in full blown Christmas mode here we wanted to come up with a quick & easy DIY project for all of you!
We’ve created this darling Countdown to Christmas downloadable file for all to enjoy! We know this time of the year is hectic and demanding of your time, but this project is is so simple you can have it done in 30 minutes. You can’t beat that!
This downloadable FREEBIE comes with everything ready to go. We’ve included directions, the image file for the numbers and 36 different service and family oriented activity ideas to choose from each day. Click here for the FREE downloadable Christmas Countdown printable.
To keep this project as simple as we could we tried to use supplies we already had lying around the house. We used small coin envelopes to hold our daily activity suggestions and we added the numbers and different embellishments to the front of the envelopes.
(All of which we did have on hand, but we’ll add links to the supplies if you need any of them.)
We’ve used a large Christmas tree card holder to display all of our cute envelopes. We each bought a set of these years ago from Decor Steels. The set included a large and small tree.
Currently they are out of stock but we found identical ones on Amazon if you want to grab one for yourself! We even found a very similar one from Pottery Barn, which is for 1 tree card holder instead of 2.
I’ve even used mine in years past to display favorite family photos from past Christmases. My kids love looking at them and reminiscing of previous Christmas seasons and to see how much they’ve grown.
