Modern Bathroom Ideas & Inspiration

Certainly the most basic elements in a full modern bathroom include the placement of the toilet, sink and shower. Beyond that, a coastal theme is known for the varying shades of blue combined with natural tones.

For instance, adding rope will give the room a nautical feel, while incorporating sea or marine life are also popular choice for decorative elements.

Certainly there are many different types of coastal decor, lets revisit the inspiration for this coastal inspired modern bathroom.

Thanks so much for following along! We’re truly grateful for your support and kind words of encouragement along the way! It’s almost hard to believe what this space looked like just 8 weeks ago. Perhaps more than that, it’s hard to believe that we tackled this entire project ourselves without hiring out any work!

I absolutely love this space! It’s so calm and relaxing and heaven knows I need more of that in my crazy little world!

Being in this space makes me feel like I’ve stepped back to a nostalgic beach getaway, where time stands still. I love the timeless and classic look of the tile work and board and batten wall.

Hands down my favorite decor elements are the framed vintage bathing suits and photos of my grandma and her mother wearing their bathing suits from the same time period.

I love incorporating sentimental items throughout my home. Seeing items or even photos of our loved ones frequently remind me of the life they led and inspire me to be better each day. I also imagine what it would be like if they were still here with us today. I can almost hear their sweet voices letting me know how proud they are of me for all we’ve accomplished.

More importantly it provides opportunities for me to talk about them with my own little family, where I’m able to teach about the plan of salvation and bare my testimony to them that I know we will live with them again some day.

It would mean the world to us to hear from you! Be sure to drop your questions and comments below!

I love the navy paint Can you share the brand sn
And color of the navy paint?

    1. Michelle Dickson

Thank you Mary. It took a lot of samples to find one we loved. The color is Hale Navy by Benjamin Moore. However we had it mixed at Home Depot in Behr. You just tell them the color and brand and they can mix it up for you.
