The Best Fudgy Brownie Recipe

The best Fudgy Brownie Recipe is EASY and almost sinful. It is moist, dense, chocolaty and oh so fudgy. With only 9 simple ingredients, this homemade recipe is SO much better than a box mix. This really is the best brownie recipe!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

Equipment

  • 1 mixer

Method
 

  1. Cream butter and sugar until well incorporated. Then add eggs and vanilla extract and beat for 2 minutes.
  2. Add cocoa powder and salt to the egg mixture and beat well.
  3. Add the flour and mix at a low speed just until the flour is incorporated. This will be a very stiff batter.
  4. Fold in semi sweet and milk chocolate chips.
  5. Pour into a greased 9x13 baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350° for 28 to 33 minutes.
    Test brownies by inserting a toothpick into the center. A few brownie bits should remain on the toothpick.

Notes

To test to see if the brownie is baked, insert a toothpick in the center.  The toothpick should not be entirely clean, but have a few chocolate pieces on it. You don't want to over cook the brownies or they will be dry.
