While we see hints that spring will soon be here, we are still expecting more snow this week.
Spring brings a sense of hope, renewal and of better things to come.
With these hints of spring we get anxious to bring that feeling into our home.
In fact, I start dreaming of setting a beautiful table for Easter.
This year is no exception and I can’t wait to share my Easter table decor with you!
Does the thought of setting a beautiful Easter table feel intimidating?
No need to stress, just follow my simple steps for Easter table decor and you’ll find that creating simple and beautiful Easter tablescape is easier than you think.
Create Layers
Create layers on your Easter table, which will add interest and tell a story.
Begin by choosing a tablecloth or table runner.
Simple is my motto this year, so I’m keeping my Easter table decor clean with minimal color.
I love the rustic texture of this white linen tablecloth.
While it’s too small for my table, I placed in on a diagonal revealing some of the wood table top.
Often I’ll layer on several tablecloths, scarfs or runners to add depth and warmth to the table.
To also add the story of my table, I included my grandmother’s silverware.
I love to use it as is, tarnish and all!
Add layers to your table that are sentimental, whether it’s special dinnerware or a piece of lace.
They bring back of flood of memories and are a great conversation starter.

Add Texture
Once my linens are down, it’s time to add texture.
While I often like to layer chargers under my dishware, this year I thought this small twig wreath would be fun.
Items that add texture include: wood, metal, rattan or grass mats.
The twig wreaths add that texture that I was looking for.
In fact, it feels like the plates are sitting in a nest.
Most importantly the wreaths were super inexpensive.
At 90% off on clearance, I couldn’t pass them up.
The rough hewn wooden bowl for the centerpiece also adds another layer of texture to the Easter table decor.
Think outside the box …
When I was looking for a filler for the bottom of my hurricanes I toyed with the idea of candy, but I couldn’t find the color I was looking for.
So, I decided to use wheat berries.
They add another natural and rustic element to my Easter table decor.
Flowers & Greenery
And certainly, no Easter table would be complete without spring flowers or greenery.
When choosing items for my centerpiece, I like to be mindful of the height.
If the arrangement is too high, it’s difficult to have a conversation with your guests.
Often, this wooden bread bowl serves as my container because of it’s height.
For spring this year, it’s filled with Lily of the Valley, greenery and eggs.
A simple arrangement like this can be made in a matter of minutes.

Candles
Nothing adds ambiance quite like candles.
A few weeks ago I fell in love with these hurricanes at Pottery Barn.
But I didn’t love the price.
I figured we could recreate them for a fraction of the cost.

Whimsy Easter Table Decor
This year I had in my mind that I’d like to add a napkin ring that looked like a chocolate bunny.
But after much searching, I didn’t find anything.
So that meant another little DIY.
I love how these faux chocolate Easter bunny napkin reings turned out and I love the way they look with my Easter Table decor!
And would you believe I made 8 of them for less than $10 including the paint?
