What You’ll Need to Make a Healthy Cranberry Salad
To whip up this healthy cranberry salad, you’ll gather an assortment of fresh winter fruit for a burst of flavors and nutrients.
Start with raw cranberries, adding a sweet and tart zing to the mix.
Next you’ll need crisp apples, a juicy pear and an orange.

To make this salad really festive for Christmas, try adding a green and red apple, my personal preference is to use Honeycrisp apples.
For an added crunch, this cranberry salad recipe calls for pecans or walnuts.
You can leave them whole or add them slightly chopped, or leave them out all together if you’re not a fan of nuts.
And to season this festive salad you’ll also need cinnamon and bit of sugar.

If you love a tart fruit salad, you can definitely omit the sugar.
That’s my personal preference, but my husband likes it a little sweeter.
If you’re watching your sugar intake you can substitute monk fruit for the sugar as well.
Feel free to try other fruits in this healthy cranberry salad too.
Recently I had some leftover fresh pineapple and I decided to add it to this salad, and it was amazing!!
If you get creative and add in other fruits, drop us a comment and tell us all about it!

Healthy Benefits
Indulging in a winter fruit salad featuring raw cranberries, crisp apples, pears, and juicy oranges, coupled with the delightful crunch of pecans and a sprinkle of cinnamon, brings forth a powerhouse of health benefits.
Cranberries are renowned for their antioxidant-rich profile, promoting overall well-being.
Apples and pears contribute dietary fiber, aiding digestion and supporting heart health.
Both apples and pears contain pectin, a fiber that nourishes gut bacteria.
Studies suggest that apples improve cholesterol, positively affect weight management, and improve cardiovascular function and inflammation.

Oranges bring a burst of vitamin C, boosting the immune system and promoting radiant skin.
The vitamin C found in oranges has other health benefits too:
- Protects your cells from damage.
- Helps your body make collagen, a protein that heals wounds and gives you smoother skin.
- Makes it easier to absorb iron to fight anemia.
- Fights inflammation and can reduce the severity of conditions like asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer.
Pecans offer healthy fats and essential nutrients along with anti-inflammatory properties due to their magnesium, calcium, fiber, vitamin E, and zinc content.
Additionally, the presence of vitamin A, vitamin E, and zinc in pecans actively reinforces your immune system, aiding in the defense against infections and facilitating the repair of damaged cells.
While cinnamon not only enhances the flavor, it’s also high in antioxidants, which may help protect against disease, inflammation and aging.
What’s more, it may improve gut health, dental hygiene, reduce cholesterol levels and lower blood pressure
Together, this wholesome medley not only tantalizes the taste buds but also provides a nutritious array that supports a healthy lifestyle.
It’s a delicious way to nourish your body during the winter months!
