Stunning Fall DIY Decorating Ideas That Are Cheap

As I’ve been contemplating fresh new Fall DIY decorating ideas this week I had an epiphany how to create some free fall decor!

I had to share, because we’re friends after all, right?

And friends don’t let friends spend money when they don’t need to.

So today I’d like to share some tips how you can use these Fall DIY decorating ideas that are free (some that are cheap) and easy to duplicate!

    Decorating Porch For Fall with DIY ideas

    The theme for my fall decor this year was inspired by natural fall foliage and beautiful colors outside my window.

    Which is really just a nice way of saying the bright sunflower weeds out in my neighbors yard.

    So with scissors in hand I did what any respectable neighbor would do and trimmed their weeds down.

    They can thank me later.

    I immediately placed them in a pitcher and displayed them on the mantle.

    However, these will only stay looking fresh for a couple days once cut.

    Since they’re so bright and cheery I decided to head to Michaels for some faux sunflowers to put in their place once wilted.

    And that my friends, is where I was inspired to make this modern sunflower wreath.

    Not only is it bright and cheery, but I love how the vibrant yellow pops off our navy blue door.

    Fall DIY Denim Pumpkin Decor Idea

    These denim pumpkins were so popular last year I knew they had to be displayed again!

    Styling them with a bright yellow plaid scarf ties the look of the whole porch together.

    Fall DIY Decorating Ideas For Living Room

    Fresh Foliage

    Rustic pitchers filled with fall foliage, fresh sunflowers and pampas grass for easy fall DIY decorating ideas.

    And here are the flowers that started it all.

    We’ve paired them with some pampas grass clipped from the side of the road.

    Yes, more weeds in our decorating, and best of all it’s FREE.

    PRO TIP: Spray the pampas grass with hairspray before cutting. This will keep the seeds from falling and making a huge mess.

    Vintage Finds

    Large old wooden spools are placed on the mantle with navy blue candles. A pumpkin is placed in front of them and yellow maple leaves are sprinkles around the mantle.

    To balance the fresh foliage on the other side of the mantle we used vintage wooden spools as candlesticks.

    Often times we’ll tweak a vignette or centerpiece from one holiday to the next.

    Starting with the patriotic inspired centerpiece, we swapped out the daisies for sunflowers and seashells for acorns.

    Lastly, the yellow is also carried over to the top of the piano in this DIY fall floral arrangement.
