Do you decorate your bedroom for Christmas?

And why would you want to?

After all who’s going to see it?

Well you are!

Why not create a relaxing and romantic getaway in your own home for the holidays by decorating your bedroom for Christmas.

For years, I’ve added a little bit of decor with garland, ornaments in a bowl, or Christmasy pillows.

However this year I wanted to bring in a full size Christmas tree.

And why not?

If it makes me happy, or you happy, then do it!

Add a Warm and Cozy Rug

Let me just say, when I first saw this rug from Mohawk Home, my heart skipped a beat.

Let me share a secret, I’ve got this thing for animal print.

If you remember last year when we gave our master bathroom a makeover on a budget, we brought in the cheetah print ottoman.

And I’ve have loved it!

I’ve been dreaming of a way to bring in an animal print into my master bedroom.

It certainly is a quick and easy way to refresh my bedroom on a budget.

In fact, you can find this rug for less than $400.

Can you believe that?!

It’s plush and soft on my feet and easy on the budget.

Win, win!

And I love the way it’s transformed my bedroom!

So, this is the first time I’ve put a full size Christmas tree in my bedroom.

I love it!

The glow of the lights create a warm and romantic feel.

Not to mention the fact, that it just feels Christmasy!

And Christmasy is good!

Steph and I DIYed a few glitter ball ornaments for the tree which give it a glam vibe too.

Decorate Bedroom for Christmas with Garland

Black floor mirror topped with a flocked garland leaning against a slate blue wall. Next to mirror is a black cane chair with a fur pillow and peacock blue throw blanket. In the reflection on the mirror you can see the lights from the Christmas tree.

Adding a festive Christmas garland is one of the easiest ways to add holiday decor to your bedroom.

Drape it over your headboard, or over some art.

When I saw the reflection of the decorated Christmas tree in the mirror, I knew that’s where I wanted my flocked garland draped.

Add Candles, Scents and Christmas Tchotchkes

Walnut nightstand topped wth silver and blue lamp and table top Christmas trees.

Certainly one of the easiest ways to decorate for Christmas in your bedroom is with small trees, candles, scents and ornaments.

On one of the nightstands I have filled a pewter dish with my grandmother’s vintage glass ornaments.

I’ve also included a sweater tree that we made last year.

One of my favorite places to look for holiday decor each year is Target’s dollar spot.

In fact, this year I found these beautiful lighted glass trees.

What a bargain!
